A dog with excessively oily or excessively dry skin is likely to have seborrhea. One major symptom of seborrhea is greasy hair because of the excess oil the skin is producing.
Dogs with this condition often scratch and cause hair loss, scaly inflamed skin with flakes and a foul odor. This is chronic in some breeds but can also be brought about by allergies, fungal or bacterial infections, parasites and skin diseases.
Solutions include shampoos or coat and skin treatments that gently remove the oil while treating the skin.
Our Recommendations
Mudbath Conditioning Treatment
Dead Sea mud absorbs into the skin and coat supplying it with a powerful infusion of natural minerals which supports the relief of itchy, dry skin. The fine mud grains clean the skin, removing dirt particles and impurities while absorbing toxins. It gently peels away dead skin cells, to reveal a healthier layer of skin while improving new skin generation. Mudbath provides the skin with exceptional moisturizing while helping maintain natural skin hydration.
